CAROLINE BISHOP

Caroline started Pilates in 2011 when the office where she worked in offered Pilates lessons after work.  She had never thought of herself as a sporty person and was nervous about what to expect but loved how accessible Pilates was to everyone and how it worked with everyone’s individual ability so kept going back.

When she had a very complicated and high risk twin pregnancy in 2019 she wasn’t allowed to do any exercise at all. After her twins were born and she got back to Pilates she appreciated how much it helped both physically and mentally. She felt like it was putting her back together again after a difficult year.

Due to the difficulties during her pregnancy one of her sons now requires a lot of physiotherapy. Caroline realised how much of what they were working on in physio aligned with Pilates and this, along with how much it helped personally, really brought home the benefits. It was then that she decided to train as a Pilates teacher.

Caroline loves the fact that it can help so many people of all ages and abilities and really enjoys helping people with their movement as well as giving them space to forget about the stresses of everyday life.

Caroline chose to train with Body Control Pilates and is now a Level 3 qualified matwork teacher.
